Course commencing from 21st September
The British Wheel of Yoga Foundation course is an accredited course suitable for students wanting to deepen their knowledge of Yoga. This 60 hour online course covers many aspects that would rarely be touched upon on a regular physical Yoga class and is a fantastic way to discover what Yoga, really is all about. The course can be an ideal first step for those wishing to continue to teacher training or for students who do not wish to be teachers but would like to develop their studies of Yoga further. On completion of the course students will receive a BWY Foundation Certificate.
Subjects covered on the course include:
- Yoga Philosophy (The Yoga Sutras and 8 limbs of Yoga),
- History of Yoga
- Different paths, styles and traditions of Yoga
- Pranayama (Breathwork)
- Asana (Yoga Postures) detailed overview of basic postures
- Anatomy
- Relaxation techniques
- Meditation and Concentration
- Mantra (Chanting)
- Kriya (Cleansing Techniques)
- Energy Systems and Chakras
- Devising your own home practice
- Advice, guidance and support on moving on to a teacher training (if requested)

Live sessions online via zoom on the following Saturdays 1.30-7.30pm

There will be an additional 24 hours pre recorded content that will be released on a monthly basis through the course.
You must attend 80% of the live sessions or catch up with recordings on the course to receive the BWY Foundation Certificate.
Additional costs:
BWY annual membership fee is £52 plus a Foundation Course registration fee of £60.
